When pro-criminal groups thought (or fooled themselves into thinking) that they had a chance for federal sentencing “reform,” what they swore up and down they had in mind was sentencing reduction for “low level, non-violent” offenders. If you read that phrase once, you read in fifty zillion times.

Now that these groups understand they have no chance at such “reform” for the foreseeable future, they tell us what the plan actually was. The stuff about “low level, non-violent” offenders was head fake. Here’s the actual story, courtesy of the New York Times and the Brennan Center:

Rapper Troy Ave Shot In New York City | Become a Crime Scene Investigator

Rapper Troy Ave, who is charged with attempted murder over a Manhattan concert shooting this year, was shot twice while sitting in his Masserati convertible at a New York City intersection Sunday, police said.

The 34-year-old and his girlfriend were on their way to spend Christmas Day with family when a gunman opened fire through the driver’s side widow of the car as he stopped at a Brooklyn traffic light around 4:20 p.m, according to law enforcement authorities. One bullet struck his the shoulder and another grazed his head, they said.

Rapper Troy Ave has been arrested for a shooting that wounded four people, including himself, at Irving Plaza in New York City before Wednesday’s T.I. concert.

On Thursday, NYPD released video footage from the venue that shows Troy Ave firing a gun inside the third-floor green room.

The 30-year-old artist is being charged with weapons possession and reckless endangerment, according to ABC7 New York

The sudden, unexplained disappearance of a small-town elected official in northeast Ohio has left authorities stumped.

Lafayette Township Trustee Bryon Macron, 45, was reported missing on the morning of Dec. 16 after a maintenance worker went into his office and found “signs that some type of altercation happened there,” Medina County Sheriff’s Capt. David Centner told Cleveland’s WEWS-TV.

Blood was reportedly found inside Macron’s office, along with his cellphone.
